Payment and Insurance Options

Payment is due at the time of service and can be made in the form of check, cash, or any major credit card.

I am an out of network provider, meaning I am not associated with any insurance providers. If your insurance plan reimburses for out of network mental health visits, your insurance may cover a portion of your treatment cost. I will provide you with a superbill so that you can submit your claim. Often, clients get 60-80% of sessions covered once the out of network deductible has been met. It is each client’s responsibility to understand their insurance policy and the amount of reimbursement that they may expect. You may be reimbursed part of the fee or none at all. Being reimbursed the full amount is rare. If being reimbursed is essential for you, then I recommend contacting therapists that are paneled with your insurance carrier.

Psychotherapy and assessment services may qualify for reimbursement using a Health Savings Account or Flexible Savings Account, allowing you to save on treatment by using pre-taxed dollars.

*I maintain a portion of my practice for people in need of a reduced fee. These spots are typically reserved for current clients or students attending weekly sessions who are undergoing financial hardship. If you are concerned about payment, you may request a reduced rate. If we are unable to work out an adjustment that is fitting, I will be happy to connect you with other services.

Good Faith Estimate.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency mental healthcare services.

  • You can expect to receive a Good Faith Estimate at least 1 business day before your scheduled appointment.

  • You may request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
